Our 2013 Christmas Card

I didn't get around to Christmas cards this year :( So consider this our 2013 Christmas card. Bobby thinks it would be more logical to do e-cards for Christmas anyways... Speaking of, we would love more Christmas cards from our friends!

It is crazy to think that next Christmas we may have a crawling baby in our picture! We are getting more and more excited about the baby. Did we mention...

IT'S A BOY!

We are both so excited for a boy! We both really thought it was a boy, and it seemed like most people agreed. Since my last post I am feeling much better. The nausea started to subside then came headaches, then that went away and I started to get heartburn, and now that Tums makes that bearable I'm starting to get lower back pain...but anything is better than nausea! (Moms-what pregnancy symptom is next??)

I'm starting to show a lot...
As of today I am 21 weeks, 1 day :)

Here are some updates since my last post-

We have been going strong with our FHE group for over 4 months now! It is such a fun tradition!
Here we are at Octoberfest with the Ormes

My best friend from high school got married in Albuquerque and I got to be a bridesmaid.

It was so fun to have a high school reunion. I sure miss these girls.

We celebrated Halloween...
Same costumes for the last 3 years.

We got to go up to the Reeder's cabin in Pinetop which was such a fun vacation!

We celebrated Veteran's Day which is a big holiday for the Rampton family.
We stayed at a hotel, went to the zoo and got lots of free food.

We've been taking advantage of cheap tickets through the military.
Here we are at some ASU games...

And my family came to visit!
Chelsea came first, and we only took one picture at the airport :( Thank you for coming, Che. I love her so much.

Then my mom and Kylee came. We had so much fun.
Like at the Michael Buble concert (we had the BEST seats up in a box, with delicious food!)...
Can you tell I'm excited to be there?

and did a lot of shopping...
(Including black Friday shopping which you can tell Kylee loved...)

and went swimming, to the zoo, tandum bike riding, and other fun things. But my mom has most the pictures.

My dad and Ashley joined us for Thanksgiving but I have no pictures.
It was so wonderful to have my family in town! I love them so much and try just to fit in with all these great Ellsworths.
We had a nice Thanksgiving too. We ate out at a restaurant...which was actually ended up being great.

And going to see the Christmas lights at the temple with friends from Glendale...

Bobby has been busy in rotations. He left me for a miserable month in September to do his surgery rotation at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His brother Marcus and his family took such great care of him.

He has also done Internal Medicine, Cardiology and OB/GYN rotations. Don't ask him what he wants to do yet though. He doesn't know. But he'll be such a great doctor someday. One clinic he did a rotation at said that he is the best student they have ever had (Cardiology).

Have you checked out Bobby's blog yet?

He has been working very hard on it and it is becoming so successful!

I finished my third block of nursing school (rotations in Peds and OB). I loved this semester and love the fact that I'll be done in May! I transferred schools when we moved to Mesa and it was hard to leave my friends at GCC, but I have liked MCC as well.

And last but not least, I've been having a lot of fun in my new calling in Young Women's
I love them and the women I work with.

Next updated will be our pictures from Christmas in Oregon and Colorado. Yay!

The Happiest News

We're expecting!!!!!!!
Due Saturday, April 26th 2014
(Hopefully a little late because I graduate nursing school on May 5th!)
So I'm going on 11 weeks :)

Head on the left. Umbilical cord on the top. We got to see a little hand. It was so magical.
Best. Doctors. Appointment. Ever.

So far I've felt nauseous, tired and pretty miserable. I can't even hardly look at pinterest because there are too many pictures of food, and food and I have not gotten along in about a month. I've lost about 10 pounds, and will probably get my first "B" in school in over 3 years BUT...

Bobby and I could not be more excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neither could my mom...
(Reading the sign on our door that says "Welcome Grandma")

Or my family...
(Opening Ky's birthday present from us [onsies saying "Auntie is my BFF"])

And the Rampton's are excited for baby #16 :)

The Sasines 8--2-13

I had been thinking about/planning Chelsea's wedding ever since I could remember and probably more than my own wedding, since Chelsea is such a planner/talker.
I think it was just how we imagined it. The day was perfect!

I was so proud of Chelsea on her wedding day. She was a gorgeous bride with a handsome, wonderful groom at her side. They were married Aug 2, 2013 in the Denver Colorado temple and had a reception at the USAFA that night.

Keith, Bobby and I are both so happy that you're a part of our family! We were so grateful that Chelsea found such a great find!

Read the Sasine's blog at http://sasines.blogspot.com/

A few pictures (most from her blog because I didn't take any pictures all day)

The high-quality pics were done by Megan, they're so good!

I threw a bachelorette party for her the night before which was fun too, but have no pictures again, except for these. I don't even know who took them lol

So happy for you, Chelsea and Keith!!!

Lovely Oregon

Some of Bobby's siblings were getting together at Bobby's home this summer and we realllllllly wanted to go, but Bobby couldn't get out of school.
So I decided to go without him! And I'm so glad I did. I had so much fun.

We went to music in the park (Broadway tunes, my fav!), the farmer's market, the splash pad, the Oregon Coast, got a tour of a train set, had dinner with Oregon friends, went to a play, helped Sara move in, played with the babies, hung out and talked, flew kites, and picked a lot of delicious Oregon berries and vegetables.

Cousin lovin'. The two youngest there, Sage and Ellie. I just wanted to squeeze them all day long.

The fun rings in the backyard!

(Is it just me, or are all the pictures of me on this blog are me in a white shirt? I don't even own many white shirts. See http://ramptonfam.blogspot.com/2013/08/new-york.html)

Some of the cute boys at the new swing set

Abby has grown most since I last saw her. She is a pre-teen!

Hours on the swing
Is this backyard awesome?

At Newport Beach (a little cold for my Phoenix blood)

Flying kites

They're so kind to me

Jasper picking up a crab!

And Catherine!...

Until she got scared lol

The best fresh meals at the Rampton's

Got my hair done by Catherine :)

Sweet Catherine, thanks for loving me. I'll love you forever for making me feel looked up to.

With the Phillips at the play

I feel so honored to be a Rampton. I was so lucky to marry into this family.
Can't wait until we get together again! I love you, Ramptons!

P.S.
Update on the blackberries: We tried stuffing my luggage with blackberries and jam for Bobby, because it's his favorite thing. The jam in bubble wrap and fake wrapping paper made it! So did the blackberries, the fresh ones did better than the frozen ones. FYI for anyone trying to travel with fruit :)

NEW YORK

I have A LOT of great things to blog about, but I want to stay in order.
Thanks to my sister for flying me out, and my mom for making the trip happen, we three got to go to upstate NEW YORK in July!
It was such an incredible trip, and one I'll never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We took red-eye flights and got to Albany, NY early in the morning (then somehow made our standby flights to Rochester).

The Hill Cumorah Pageant was probably my favorite part. It is a musical about the stories in the Book of Mormon, and it really brought the scriptures to life for me! I left with a desire to study and understand the scriptures better. I highly recommend the show to anyone- LDS or not.

The top of the Hill Cumorah, where we believe the Book of Mormon was buried until Joseph Smith was led to find them.

The Smith family's home.
We ran into Sister Harline...
 and Sister Astorga...
They were both such darling, powerful missionaries. It was so fun to run into them!

Another favorite part of the trip was the Sacred Grove, the area where Joseph Smith prayed and saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The spirit was so strong here and what a blessing it was to be able to walk around in the grove for myself.

We got to go to the Palmyra temple too, one of the few (only?) temples that has clear windows so you can look out into the Sacred Grove and Hill Cumorah. Luckily we were able to get in because it was supposed to be by appointment only.

We realized that my mom was holding the camera upside down...
Our faces zoomed in- lol

The last day in Palmyra it poured! But it was still so warm!

Grave of Alvin Smith

Luckily, while it rained we planned on going to Grandin's printing press where the first Book of Mormon was published. The church has done a great job at preserving it.

We got to visit our cousin Amanda who lives in Rochester. Amanda's husband Charlie goes to school at Eastman School of Music and he gave us a tour of the beautiful Kodak Theater. Amanda and Charlie are so cute and happy in New York and I was so happy to see them.

Our last stop was Niagara Falls.

Idk...

Chelsea and Amanda got to walk over to Canada, but my mom and I forgot our visas...doh. But we had a fun time taking glamour shots instead.

Isn't she cute?

Thanks for such a memorable trip, Chels and Mom.
You two are the two most influential women in my life and I'm so lucky to have you two.
Thank you!!!
