Med School Graduation

We flew straight from our cruise to AZ for graduation (with a layover in Denver to pick up Troy)
Both our parents came to AZ :) :)

3 generations

And we got to reunite with all our AZ friends. These babies were all born within 2 weeks of Troy, and us moms were pregnant together.

So proud of this graduate

These guys studied so much together

And Ryan was Bobby's first friend in school

The pregnant med school wives

Kelsey and I became friends right when we moved to Glendale, and quickly became my best friend. Oh, how I'll miss her.

Same goes for all these girls -
Hailee, Cim, Chelsea, Kelsey, Carly, Emma

The day we'd waited for for four years!

Bobby also got promoted to Captain in the Army

Bobby and Kate will be starting their derm residency in San Antonio

So proud of this doctor!

The Midwestern Cruizers

It's not every day you graduate from medical school, so obviously we needed to celebrate big time.
And did we ever!

We took a Carnival Cruise with 3 other med school couples to Cozumel, Roatan, and Belize. It was oh, so fun.

The whole group - the Goodmans, Becksteads and Chapmans. It was extra fun because all the boys matched into the programs they wanted to (anesthesia, ophthalmology, and ER, respectively) so we were celebrating the whole time!

I had to lie on my paperwork and say I was only 22 weeks pregnant - really I was like 30! Said my prayers every night that I would not deliver the baby on the boat or one some random foreign island.
(I couldn't lie on my stomach, so my front got a lot of sun, and the back got none lol)

The food was a-maz-ing - Guy's burgers, the taco bar, endless lemonade and ice cream, cold soups, the seafood...yum!!!!!

The boat was huge and exciting!

We took advantage of the night life too, our favorite was the comedians.

The whole group in Roatan...

...Carly and I got massages on the beach...

We found a starfish
(can I look any more like a tourist?)

My favorite part of the day, though, was facetiming my baby. As you can tell, he was in good hands with my mom and sister.

Bobby paid $3 for massage too, lol so he got a half-hearted one.

In Cozumel, we took a tour of the Mayan Ruins, Tulum

In Belize, we went cave tubing. It was so fun and incredibly beautiful.

The #medschoolwives. Could not have gotten through Bobby's schooling without them!

Congrats to Bobby!!! He deserved this!

Troy's First BDay

How has it been a year?!?!?

Troy turned 1! (2 months ago)
This little guy is my whole world. He is actually not so little, weighing a whopping 26 lbs, he has been in the 90% for weight and height for most of his life.
This boy is solid and BUSY. He runs around like he is on a tight schedule, especially lately checking out our new house. He still loves to be outside - has since day 1.
He loves to throw things - things in drawers, throw things into the trash, balls, etc.
He loves to bring you books to read to him.
The boy loves to eat and likes bananas, cheese, cereal puffs, mangos, and whatever you're having.
Troy hates to be confined, but does like to wrestle. He loves to be upside down, twirled, tossed onto the couch, or pretended to be dropped.
He loves to dance with his dad.
He is a great sleeper like his mom.
He recently learned to wave, he loves to do the Indian call, and when people clap on TV he thinks it's for him.
We love this little bull-in-a-China shop so much.

Opening presents -
(Dad drove to Denver to pick this one up - thanks Bob!)

We love you little Troy.
But please don't grow up anymore.
