Last family-of-2 update?

Need to get up-to-date before baby boy comes!

FEBRUARY
Bobby was assigned to his rural medicine rotation in Willcox, AZ, population 3,757.
I hated him being gone, but Bobby actually loved the rotation and his doctor and made some friends down there.
I drove down on Valentines to visit <3

We got to go to the Gila Valley temple one night with his doctor and his wife, the Bushmans.

While he was gone, I got to go to the Gilbert temple open house with my laurels.

And I got to see my best friend, Anna Connell and her sweet family to watch the super bowl.

And Bobby and I gave each other the best Valentine's day present of a 3D ultrasound session -

In nursing I finished up my last med/surg clinicals (hopefully forever). We finished with the ER (LOVED), ICU (hated), CVICU, etc. I volunteered to do chest compressions in a code blue (which ended successfully!) and was so sore the next day!

.........And we turned on our AC mid-February.............

MARCH

Best of all, mom came to visit and we got a lot done for the baby! Bless her heart for spending hours in the airport just to get here, going shopping in the pouring rain, and cleaning up broken glass in the middle of the street...I am so lucky to have her!
She got to be here for the Gilbert temple dedication which was my first dedication I've gotten to attend and went to my Mesa shower.

In school we moved onto psychiatric nursing, which is pretty much as scary as it sounds, but lucky for me all of the patients loved giving me advice, feeling my belly and asking questions so I survived.

It's been so fun being pregnant with my friend, Brianna Orme. She is due like 8 weeks after me. We have the same doctor (she recommended him) and we'll deliver at the same hospital so we did a hospital OB tour one night for FHE.
(Hate this pic, but want to remember the night so I'll sacrifice my pride)

We still have a lot of fun with them and the Reeders every Monday -

And we still loving getting together with the Jacksons, of course (especially at Suns games!)

With free pancakes from iHop

Kyle Heaps got married to a girl that lives just down the street from us, so we got to attend their beautiful reception

My Glendale friends threw Carly a shower/going away party since everyone is moving :(
Emma, Carly and me all announced we were pregnant the same night to our friends, and we're due less than 2 weeks apart! :) So it's a race!

I seriously love them

And Bobby loves their husbands

At the end of the month, Bobby, Trevor and Dave hiked and camped Picacho Peak while Brianna and I hung out at home and watched Frozen and ate ice cream.

And I had such a fun time seeing Diane and Anne Fredell while they visited for Andrew's baseball tournament

APRIL SO FAR

I passed nursing school!!! Now all I have to do is finish my preceptorship in the PACU.
I got a scholarship from the American Legion <3

Bobby submitted his paper on Spitz Nevi to the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association and was one of three students selected to present at the conference. He was nervous about the doctors drilling him with questions afterwards, but he nailed it! Then they held a dinner, which the picture is of. I was so proud!

  1. I'm so behind on reading your blog! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. Looks like you two have so much fun and accomplish so much. What happens now that Troy came early and you weren't yet done with your 30 hours?

    Love you! Lisa
